Las Vegas Flying

Welcome to My Home Page

This Web site features pictures from my experience in the Las Vegas area and is also an easy way for us all to stay updated with/about one another...Check back daily.

Flights over the city.

I generally fly out of the North Las Vegas Airport. It is for small aircraft. If you have ever been to or plan on coming to Las Vegas you will be going to a much larger airport...McCarran International.

There is more than Gambling.

From the front door of my house you can drive to the mountains to ski in about 45 minutes. Or you can go the opposite direction and be at the lake in about 40 minutes. Gambling downtown in about 30 minutes. or you can go to Nellis Air Force Base and see the Thunderbirds, "Aerial demostration team," in about 15 minutes.

A friend from work, who is a photographer, took this photo of the Stratosphere Casino. We would have had alot more photos but the Las Vegas airspace was not open to fly around at that time.

This is as close to the city as they will let you fly in a Cessna 172. The runway you see to the right is actually McCarran airport. I had to fly over it to get to my airport.
